Our Clinics have offered the highest standards of sleep disorder advice and care since 2004 and are a regular port of call for patients long established on treatment. ResMed Clinics in London and Harwell provide diagnosis and treatment of Sleep Disordered Breathing, of which the most common form is Obstructive Sleep Apnoea.
We employ only UK registered practitioners with experience in sleep medicine to ensure the very best support for our patients. Long-term relationships are important to us, many of our patients started their treatment journey years ago and continue to visit annually for review.
We are also well known for our accurate home diagnosis service for new sufferers, and provide friendly and caring advice for these patients.
Sleep Apnoea and Snoring
What happens during sleep?
Wondering what happens during sleep? Think of your body like a factory. As you drift off to sleep, your body begins its night-shift work
What causes snoring?
When we’re asleep, the muscles in our necks relax. Sometimes, they relax so much that the upper airway (the nose and throat) partly closes
What is sleep apnoea?
Sensing you have stopped breathing, a control centre in your brain triggers you to wake up just enough to gasp and start breathing again
Treatment & maintenance
After you’ve been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnoea, come to one of our sleep clinics and we’ll set you up on treatment, show you how to fit your mask and review your progress regularly each year.
Screening and diagnosis
If you think you may have obstructive sleep apnoea, you first need to obtain an accurate diagnosis from a sleep clinic. At ResMed’s Clinics you can request a simple home screening test or a more detailed home sleep study.
