Devices & tubing replacement
If the environment is particularly humid or dusty, then the disposable filter won't last for long. Visual inspection is the key to determining disposable filter life.
The typical life span of a CPAP device is 5 to 7 years.
For maximum comfort we recommend replacing your tubing regularly.
*Inspection is every month. Recommended replacement is every 6 months or before according to the filter’s state.
** Your care provider will make sure to regularly replace your air tubing. It is typically changed between 6 to 12 months after use.
Humidifier water tub
Humidifier cleanable water chambers may become discoloured, cracked, cloudy or even pitted due to the mineral levels found in most tap and drinking water. As the material deteriorates, cracks may trap bacteria from moisture.
If you are concerned that your humidifier is not working, place the unit in warm-up mode and allow it to run for one minute. If the heater plate does not heat up in warm-up mode, contact your medical equipment provider.
* Water chambers must be replaced when the above symptoms appear. Typical frequency of replacement is every 2 years
**Design life of a heated humidifier is about 5 years
