Support

Setting up your machine

 

  1. Plug the power supply unit into your machine and then into the power outlet.
  2. Connect the grey end of the air tubing to your machine.

 

Adding optional humidification
(for AirFit N20 or AirFit P10 for AirMini only):

 

  1. To use the optional HumidX or HumidX, twist open the connector.
  2. Insert the HumidX or HumidX Plus them inside, with the blue or grey side facing down towards the tube.
  3. Close the connector by twisting its ends back together until they lock into place.

 

Connecting your machine and smart device

 

  1. Ensure you have the latest version of the AirMini app installed on your smart device. If not, download it from the App Store or Google Play depending on your device.
  2. Also ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smart device. Refer to your smart device’s user guide for instructions as needed.
  3. Open the AirMini app and you’ll be greeted with a welcome screen.
  4. Accept ResMed's Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy to continue.
  5. When prompted by the AirMini app, press the Bluetooth button on your AirMini machine.
  6. When the light on your machine flashes blue, Bluetooth is enabled and it is ready to connect.
  7. On the smart device, tap Connect.
  8. Wait until your machine appears in the accessory selection list.
  9. Select your machine from the list to connect.

 

Authenticating your device

 

  1. The first time you pair your machine with your smart device, you will need to authenticate it by entering the four-digit key located on the bottom of your machine. Alternatively, you can use the smart device’s camera to capture the machine’s QR code located on the bottom of the machine.
  2. When successfully connected, the Bluetooth connection icon will appear in the top right corner of the screen.

 

Starting therapy on the Sleep screen

 

  1. Enter the Sleep screen by pressing on Sleep on the Navigation tab.
  2. The Sleep screen is split into two tabs, Therapy and Mask Fit. You can toggle between the Therapy screen, to access comfort settings, and the Mask Fit screen, to check for air leaks around your mask.
  3. To start therapy, press start on your Therapy screen.
  4. To stop therapy, press stop from the same menu.

 

Adjusting comfort settings

 

  1. Enter the Sleep screen and click on options in the Therapy screen.
  2. Tap the setting you wish to adjust.
  3. Use the spinner or switches to select the required setting.
  4. Do this process for as many settings as needed.

 

The Dashboard

 

  1. Enter your Dashboard screen by pressing on Dashboard in the Navigation tab. If your AirMini machine is connected to the AirMini app, the Dashboard will provide you summary data and a sleep score for your recent therapy session.
  2. You can also access previous days of sleep score information by clicking on the dropdown arrow next to the current date.
  3. Tap on any therapy session to view your sleep score and sleep swadata for that date.

  • Flow generator: why is there no user interface?

    The design of AirMini is to support both simplicity and a richer experience depending on your preference. To support this, we designed AirMini with a simple one-button interaction for simplicity and an accompanying app to unlock a richer, more engaging therapy experience.

  • What will happen if my smart device battery dies during the night? Will my therapy be affected?

    If the smart device disconnects for any reason, the AirMini will continue to deliver therapy uninterrupted. The data will be transmitted to your smart device when it next connects to the machine.

  • How do I reconnect my AirMini to my smart device?

    Your smart device should automatically reconnect to the AirMini machine after you have successfully paired once; assuming Bluetooth® is activated and visible on your smart device. However, you can also connect by simply tapping the Bluetooth® icon on the top right corner of the app’s home screen. A prompt to connect your smart device with the AirMini machine will appear. The Bluetooth® icon will be visible in the app and the Bluetooth® LED on the machine will turn blue and remain blue when paired with your smart device and AirMini machine.

  • Where can I view my data?

    Sleep score and sleep statistics is viewable in the AirMini App. AirView support will come online soon and clinicians will be able to view night profile data in AirView.

  • Why can I not use my current mask with AirMini?

    The ActiveAir and HumidX technology are new technologies that have only been implemented for AirMini. As a result the 20 series masks and AirFit P10 for AirMini are the only masks designed to work with the new AirMini system, therefore no other masks are compatible with the AirMini machine.

  • Can I clean the HumidX?

    No. The HumidX cannot be cleaned and should be replaced 30 days after opening the packaging.

  • What will happen if the HumidX is used well over 30 days?

    ResMed does not recommend the HumidX to be used beyond 30 days. If the HumidX is used beyond 30 days this can cause deterioration in cleanliness, humidification performance and breathing comfort which can affect safe and efficacious use of AirMini. Ensure the HumidX and other components of the AirMini system are regularly maintained as per the user instructions.

  • If I use the AirMini in other countries, will the power supply unit automatically convert?

    Yes, the design of the AirMini machine accepts an AC input range of 100-240V and a DC output of 24V. However, purchasing the correct AirMini power supply unit for the country you are visiting is recommended to ensure correct performance of your AirMini machine. Contact your care provider for more information.

  • What is the operating temperature range for the AirMini machine?

    AirMini’s optimal performance temperature range is between 5°C to 35°C (41°F to 95°F). The operating temperature range is similar to that of the AirSense 10 machine. Optimal performance of the AirMini machine’s performance cannot be guaranteed if operated outside the recommended temperature range.

  • Where can I track the status and progression of my therapy?

    The Sleep screen displays current pressure in real-time. The sleep dashboard shows your sleep report and the progression of therapy. Sleep data and therapy score can be accessed from the Dashboard screen once therapy is complete.

Daily cleaning

 

For N20 users
Note: Do not wash or wet the HumidX / HumidX Plus. When not in use, store in a clean and dry place.

 

  1. Clean and check the N20 connector by hand daily. Never wash it using a dishwasher or washing machine.
  2. Remove the HumidX before proceeding with cleaning.
  3. Wash the connector in warm water (~30°C or 86°F) and mild liquid detergent.
  4. Clean the connector using a soft bristle brush, with particular attention paid to the vent holes on the inside.
  5. Rinse well under running water, and then shake to remove excess water.
  6. Air dry out of direct sunlight, and check for dirt or dust before use.

For F20 users

  3. Gently rub each part in warm water (~30°C or 86°F) and mild liquid detergent until clean, with attention paid to the pillows and its small openings.
  4. Rinse well under running water and allow to air dry out of direct sunlight.

Weekly cleaning

 

AirMini tubing

 

  1. Clean and check the AirMini tubing by hand weekly. Never wash it in a dishwasher or washing machine.
  2. Separate tubing from AcitveAir vent connector.
  3. Soak and wash the tubing in warm water (~30°C or 86°F) and mild liquid detergent.
  4. Rinse well inside and out under running water.
  5. Hang the tubing so that each end can drain, and leave it to air dry out of direct sunlight.
  6. Clean the AirMini by wiping down each side of its exterior carefully with a dry cloth.

Disassembly

 

For N20 users

 

  1. Disconnect the connector from the mask by pressing on its side buttons and pulling away.
  2. Disconnect the vent module from the AirMini tubing by twisting them away from each other.
  3. Disconnect the vent module from the mask tube by twisting them away from each other.
  4. If HumidX or HumidX Plus was used, remove it from the vent module.

 

For F20 users

  1. Disconnect the connector from the mask by pressing on its side buttons and pulling away.
  2. Disconnect the F20 connector from the AirMini tubing by twisting them away from each other. 

 

For P10 users

  1. Disconnect the vent module from the AirMini tubing by twisting them away from each other.
  2. Disconnect the vent module from the mask tube by twisting them away from each other.
  3. If HumidX or HumidX Plus was used, remove it from the vent module.

 

AirMini

  1. Disconnect the AirMini tubing by pressing on the side of the grey cuff and pulling away.
  2. Unplug the power supply unit from the power outlet and the machine.

AirMini air filter

 

  1. Check the AirMini air filter for any holes, tears, cracks, or blockages caused by dirt or dust.
  2. The air filter should be replaced at least every six months or if there are signs of damage. It cannot be washed.
  3. To change the air filter, slide the air filter cover off and replace the old air filter with a new one.
  4. Attach the air filter cover on again, and ensure it is fitted at all times to prevent water and dust from entering the machine.

 

HumidX and HumidX Plus

 

  1. Check your HumidX or HumidX Plus daily for signs of damage or blockages caused by dirt and dust. They cannot be washed.
