On Facebook, we asked patients, “What can you do now thanks to CPAP therapy?” and received dozens of inspiring notes like:
“Wake up without headaches”
“Work without yawning all day”
“Watch TV without falling asleep”
But one of the most common responses – and my personal favorite – is, “I can sleep with my spouse again.”
One key to a happy relationship is sleeping together,1 and CPAP patients are 60% more likely to stay on CPAP therapy if their spouses share the bed.2 Of course, many couples start sleeping in separate bedrooms when snoring becomes unbearable, or when a noisy CPAP machine gets in the way of a restful night’s sleep.
