Personalised ventilation made easy
Lumis is a non-invasive ventilator series offering personalised ventilation to non-dependent patients with respiratory insufficiency.
Every Lumis device is set up to enable personalised ventilation – easily. So you can use one device series to customise therapy for a range of patient conditions.
The device series features Intelligent Air, a collection of individually-responsive technologies that automatically adapt to deliver personalised non-invasive ventilation (NIV).
The Lumis ST-A device comes with fixed and adjustable alarms for extra reassurance, and to help you personalise therapy for your patients.
Individually responsive with IntelligentAir.
IntelligentAir is a collection of ResMed technologies that can tailor ventilation therapy to the patient’s individual breathing needs. IntelligentAir comprises iVAPS (intelligent Volume-Assured Pressure Support), a mode that automatically adapts to the patient’s changing needs; an intelligent Backup Rate (iBR)* that maximises their opportunity to breathe spontaneously and an optional AutoEPAP** to maintain upper airway patency.
You can provide further personalisation by fine-tuning Vsync, TiControl™, and Trigger and cycle on a ‘per patient’ basis.
QuickNav for low-touch therapy adjustment
By simply double-clicking the home button on the device, you can quickly and easily toggle between the Settings screen (where you can make adjustments to your patient’s therapy) and the Monitoring screen (where you can check the impact of those adjustments on the patient’s therapy). It’s that easy and efficient.
Climate Control Auto for automatic humidification
When used with a HumidAir™ heated humidifier and ClimateLineAir™ heated tube, Lumis delivers humidification automatically – no settings to change and no complicated menus to navigate. So you can set your patients up to receive all the benefits of humidification as soon as they turn on their device.
Ramp and Ramp Down for extra comfort
To help patients ease into a therapy session, the Ramp feature gradually and comfortably ramps the pressure up to their prescribed level; and to help ease them out of a therapy session, Ramp Down gradually reduces EPAP and pressure support.
Essentials mode is for patients who want to receive their therapy without worrying about settings or menus. They can simply press Start and the ventilator takes care of the rest.
Alarms for confidence and safety
Fixed and adjustable alarms on two Lumis models include system events, such as power fail and system fault. Alarms that you can set are high leak, low minute ventilation, apnoea, non-vented mask and low SpO2 (when an oximeter is connected).
