A. Sleep apnea in women is different to sleep apnea in men.1 So it makes sense that their treatment should be different too. ResMed's AirSense™ 10 AutoSet™ for Her device includes a new algorithm that responds to female-specific characteristics of obstructive sleep apnea.
A. The AirSense™ 10 AutoSet™ for Her provides RERA reporting, which can be viewed using ResScan™. This feature provides additional insight by identifying short events followed by arousals. Incorporating RERA detection into therapy can provide a better marker of your patient’s respiratory disturbance index (RDI). We recommend using the RERA information with the AHI in assessing therapy efficacy in female patients.
A. Yes. Patient settings can be changed via the clinical menu on their device or via SD card in ResScan™.
