ResMed’s NIV solutions

We offer end-to-end NIV solutions – combining a comprehensive range of ventilators with AirView™ remote monitoring for immediate access to patient data and successful follow-up once they are discharged from the hospital. Our invasive and non-invasive ventilation devices feature world-class technology and intuitive design features, with menu options that allow low-touch therapy setup and adjustment.

Astral™ Series. Astral life support ventilators are designed to mimic the clinical features of a high acuity environment while offering the quality of life benefits that are so important to chronically ill COPD patients. Intended for both hospital and home use, for both invasive and noninvasive applications, Astral’s 8-hour internal battery aids in intrafacility transport. Its size and weight allow it to be used during transfer and mobilization of patients in critical care areas, also offering seamless continuity of care from the hospital to the home. With a broad range of therapy modes and features including synchrony features that minimize inspiratory time (which is helpful in minimizing intrinsic PEEP) and high-resolution waveforms to enable visual detection of intrinsic PEEP. Astral also features integrated FiO2 and optional SpO2 monitoring so you can fine-tune oxygen delivery.

Stellar™ 100 and 150. Stellar offers higher pressure (up to 40 cm H2O), with both invasive and non-invasive applications. Light, small and quiet, Stellar combines unique technology, like ResMed’s iVAPS automated pressure support algorithms with optimal setup capabilities like pathology defaults and real-time monitoring. Its internal battery allows it to be used during transfer of patients, promoting the pulmonary rehabilitation process.

S9 VPAP™ ST-A with iVAPs. Designed for both hospital and home, ResMed’s premium bilevel device is optimized to treat a full range of patients with respiratory insufficiency, such as COPD, using the latest automation technology, intelligent volume-assured pressure support (iVAPS). This technology automatically adjusts to a patient’s respiratory rate, targets alveolar ventilation and adjusts pressure support as needed to accommodate each patient’s unique needs, even as their disease progresses.

AirView™AirView is our cloud-based data management system* allows you to monitor COPD patients in the home, with daily access to patient data like respiratory rate, which can help identify and possibly prevent an acute exacerbation.1 Ideal for successful patient follow-up post-hospital discharge.

*Not all ResMed devices are compatible with AirView. Contact your ResMed sales representative to learn more about which devices connect with ResScan and AirView.
