The ResMed Foundation (Australia) is a private charitable foundation to promote sleep-disordered breathing research and community awareness, of the dangers of untreated sleep-disordered breathing.

It has two main objectives

  • Promoting leading research for publication in appropriate scientific and medical publications
  • Providing limited community support by promoting, enhancing and financing charitable, educational, literary, artistic, scientific and other community and philanthropic activities

Individual Grants typically range from AU$5,000 to AU$50,000.  The ResMed Foundation will also consider supporting longer-term projects with annual funding.

 

Application Information

1. Organization Information

  • Brief summary of Applicant’s/non-profit Organization's mission, goals and key achievements
  • Description of current relevant programs, activities and accomplishments

 2. Purpose of Grant

  • Statement of issues to be addressed and target population
  • Description of the program or study including goals, measurable objectives, action plans and capacity to carry out the program/study
  • Timetable for implementation
  • Key individuals involved in the study/program and a brief summary of their qualifications
  • Identify other organizations, partners, funding group, if any, participating in the program or study, and their specific roles
  • Long term strategies for funding beyond this grant period (if appropriate)
  • Description of expected results during funding period and how results will be used and/or disseminated

3. Evaluation

  • Describe your evaluation plans, including how success will be defined and measured and how progress and results will be documented

Application Process

The ResMed Foundation will conduct a preliminary review of all Applications. 

If you are successful, and your Proposal is approved for full Board review, the ResMed Foundation may request additional supporting documentation.

For scientific study grants awarded, the ResMed Foundation will require progress and final evaluation and expenditure reports.

For philanthropic, educational and public awareness programs awarded a Grant, a short report will be required to confirm the allocation of funds to the approved program, together with a statement of outcomes (if applicable).
