Things you should know about Dawn

Hi there, I am Dawn, Resmed’s digital assistant powered by generative AI. I’m available to help answer your questions about Resmed products, services, and your CPAP therapy experience if you are in the United States. If you are accessing Dawn in myAir, depending on your account and available features, I may also be able to access limited information from your myAir account, such as your sleep therapy data and health app data (if connected to myAir), to answer questions about your therapy. This feature is being introduced gradually and may not be available to all users.

While I will try my best to answer any questions, it’s important you know that:

  • I am an experimental AI assistant, not a human. I use generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) to create responses based on your questions and Resmed’s product and service information. While I aim to be accurate, my answers may sometimes be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Even if an answer seems detailed or specific, it may still contain errors. Please double-check important information with trusted sources or official Resmed materials.
  • I don’t provide medical advice. I am not a doctor, and I can’t provide you with medical advice; diagnose you; or suggest or prescribe treatment, therapies, or devices. If you have questions about your health, therapy, or device settings, please contact your healthcare provider.

    For COVID-19 or other medical concerns, speak directly with your healthcare professional.
  • Product and Service Information should be verified. If I make assertions about a Resmed product or service, please go to its product or service page for the latest specifications, disclaimers, and references. If you need human support, please reach out to Resmed Customer Support. Unfortunately, I can’t help you with questions about Resmed product warranties. If you need support in this area, please reach out to your equipment provider.
  • Protect your privacy. I process and protect your personal information according to the Dawn Terms of Use, the Resmed.com Privacy Policy (if accessing Dawn through Resmed.com) and myAir Privacy Notice (if accessing Dawn through the myAir web or mobile app). Particularly, if your account allows me to access your myAir data, that data is handled securely and used only to provide relevant answers during our chat and other purposes allowed under myAir Privacy Notice.
  • Human review and improvements. Humans may process your conversations with me for quality purposes. Resmed may use any feedback that you provide to help improve me. We will not use your information for model training purposes. I will get better with your feedback; please let me know how I can improve.
  • Agreement to terms. By using Dawn, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the Dawn terms of use as well as the applicable terms of use and privacy policy associated with the product or service through which you are accessing Dawn. If you don’t agree, please don’t start a conversation with me.
